A Review: Nanofertilizers for the Biofortification and Sustainable Agriculture
نویسندگان
چکیده
Improving nutritional efficiency (NUE) by endangering environmental quality has been a centralissue for agricultural food production (FPS) programs in order to sustain the growing population.Nanotechnology with nanoscale inputs of nano agri-inputs (NAIPs) alreadyemerged as an important solution address problem low or moderate nutrient utilization withminimal impact. Recently, few new hybrid nanofertilizer (HNF) formulations have beendeveloped biofortification and sustainable agriculture. Urea-modified hydroxyapatite was reported, which is rich source nitrogen, calcium, phosphate. Gehan Amaratunga University ofCambridge stated, “such fertilizers could reduce runoff lead harmful algal blooms waterbodies”. The NAE (N Agronomic use Efficiency) urea-HA nanohybrids 48%, while NAEfor pure urea 18%, at field level. However, these are expensive not shownto be commercially viable up date. nanoparticles such copper, iron, zinc wereincorporated into urea-modified further increase proposed fertilizer.

Nanofertilizers and their roles in sustainable agriculture
Because of the limitation in arable lands and water resources, the development of agriculture sector is only possible by increasing of resources use efficiency with the minimum damage to production bed through effective use of modern technologies. Among these, nanotechnology has the potential to revolutionize the agricultural systems, biomedicine, environmental engineering, safety and security,...
متن کاملWhat Is Sustainable Agriculture? A Systematic Review
The idea of a sustainable agriculture has gained prominence since the publication of the Brundtland Report in 1987. Yet, the concept of sustainable agriculture is very vague and ambiguous in its meaning, which renders its use and implementation extremely difficult. In this systematic review paper, we aim to advance understandings of sustainable agriculture from a social science and governance p...
متن کاملBiofortification in Millets: A Sustainable Approach for Nutritional Security
Nutritional insecurity is a major threat to the world's population that is highly dependent on cereals-based diet, deficient in micronutrients. Next to cereals, millets are the primary sources of energy in the semi-arid tropics and drought-prone regions of Asia and Africa. Millets are nutritionally superior as their grains contain high amount of proteins, essential amino acids, minerals, and vi...
متن کاملAgrometeorology and sustainable agriculture
Current concerns with the sustainability of agroecosystems in different parts of the world have hightened the awareness for careful use of the natural resource base on which agriculture depends. For proper and efficient use of soils and plant/animal genetic material, knowledge of the role of climate is an essential precondition. Several elements of the chapters in Agenda 21, a global plan of ac...
متن کاملParaquat and sustainable agriculture.
Sustainable agriculture is essential for man's survival, especially given our rapidly increasing population. Expansion of agriculture into remaining areas of natural vegetation is undesirable, as this would reduce biodiversity on the planet. Maintaining or indeed improving crop yields on existing farmed land, whether on a smallholder scale or on larger farms, is thus necessary. One of the limit...
